Relaxation Sessions
Stress is a normal part of life which can either help us learn and grow or can cause us significant problems (Stoppler and Dryden-Edwards 2018).
Stress causes a release of neurochemicals and hormones (the stress response) that prepare the body to take action for a ‘fight or flight’ response. If we take no action then the stress resopnse can cause or worsen health problems.
Different people may feel stress in different ways. For example, some people experience mainly digestive symptoms, while others may have headaches, sleeplessness, sadness, anger or irritability. People under chronic stress are prone to more frequent and severe viral infections, such as the flu or common cold (National Institute for Mental Health).
Meditation and relaxation techniques can help to combat or mitigate against stress.

Reiki
Reiki” (ray-key) is Japanese for ‘universal life energy, and is also a word used to describe a system of natural healing, This tradition was founded by Mikao Usui in the early 20th century and evolved as a result of his research, experience and dedication.
We live in a world of energy that nourishes and maintains all living things. When this energy flows uninterrupted there is balance and harmony within and around us, and we experience a sense of well being.
There are many variations of Reiki, but in essence Reiki treatments can help the body emotionally or spiritually. It is a tradition that is open to any belief system.
Reiki treatment is a process that anyone can enjoy in the normal course of their life. Reiki can be used alongside other conventional or complementary treatment and often helps to provide emotional support during recovery.
The practice is taught by Reiki masters / teachers who have trained in the tradition passed on in person from master to student (The Reki Association).
Reiki treatments last between 60-90 minutes and cost £25 per session to book call 07740354465
Reiki can also be given as a distance treatment - £20 per session to book call 07740354465
Course: Reiki I – The initiation degree
Suitable for therapists and anyone with an interest in Reiki and healing
Duration : 2 days
Cost: £150 (includes all course materials and lunch/refreshments).
Upon completion you will be issued with a certificate.
Reiki I opens up or activates specific energy centres in the body. It teaches you how to connect with the Reiki energy and to channel it for healing yourself and others. You will learn about the history of Reiki, hand positions and basic techniques of Reiki. After this class you will have a workable system of healing available for your use.
As always the more you practice the more your skills will improve but only experience will provide the wisdom needed to effectively provide this service professionally. You will however, have all the necessary faculties to use it immediately.
Following your attunement there is a 21 day period called the cleansing period. It is during this time you are encouraged to use Reiki daily on yourself. Many students report positive personal and spiritual growth during this time. Taking an active role in the healing process boosts these benefits.
Reiki II – The practitioner’s degree
Suitable for those who have completed Reiki I
Duration: 2 days
Cost: £200 (includes course materials and lunch)
Upon completion you will be issued with a certificate with which you can gain insurance cover if your intension is to work as a Reiki practitioner publically. Please check with your insurance company that they cover Reiki before booking this course.
Reiki II opens additional energy centres and connects you to a greater volume of Reiki energy. The sacred symbols are taught within this level. You will also learn to send healing through time (past life or childhood) and distance, to heal emotional issues and empower your work.
Again following attunement there is a 21 day cleansing period. The accelerated changes in both personal and spiritual growth build upon those created in Reiki I. The more that you use the Reiki between Reiki I and II, the more you will continue the growth that you started in Reiki I. There is no benefit to hurrying through the classes. Give yourself at least 6 months to a year to develop and work with the energies.
Reiki II provides you with the necessary training and discipline to operate as a Reiki Practitioner if this is what you wish but you must obtain insurance before doing this.
Reiki III – The ‘ Master Healer’
Suitable for those who have achieved Reiki I & II
Cost : £300 (includes course materials and lunch.)
Duration : 2 individual days. This can be divided in to 2 separate days at a cost of £150 each day.
Day 1: Master / practitioner for those who have no desire to teach.
Day 2: Master/ teacher for those who wish to go on and teach Reiki to others.
The Master level attunement opens the student to the fullest experience of Reiki energy available to them. The Master symbol is presented, and the student learns to draw on the highest and purest of healing energy. Attunement is given and the student is also taught how to give the attunements.
When a student becomes a Reiki Master/teacher is does not mean the learning is complete, indeed it is just the beginning as this is where the real learning starts.
The new Reiki Master is no longer dependant on his/her teacher for guidance or motivation. When taught properly, the new Reiki Master is guided by their Reiki Master to allow Reiki itself to become the teacher, encouraging them to find truth and wisdom from within.
The training in Reiki I&II prepares the student to receive Reiki III. The degree to which the student receives the Master attunement and Master symbol is directly related to the level of dedication and personal healing done prior to the attunement.
Namaste.
